Emmie Kranenburg: Transforming Lives Through Breathwork and Trauma Release Therapy

on

Emmie Kranenburg is a highly skilled practitioner specializing in bodywork, breathwork, and trauma release therapy. With over 25 years of experience as a pharmacy assistant, Emmie saw firsthand how traditional medicine often treats symptoms rather than addressing the root cause of health issues. This realization fueled her passion to help people heal in a more natural, holistic way.

After spending 25 years working in the pharmaceutical field, including eight years with a general practitioner who owned a pharmacy, Emmie knew she wanted a different path. When her boss retired, it was a turning point. She realized she no longer wanted to return to the pharmacy but still felt a strong desire to help people. That’s when she discovered breathwork and trauma release therapy, and her journey began.

Emmie trained in these healing methods and embarked on a personal journey of processing her own traumas. Through this transformative experience, she developed a deep understanding of the power of trauma release without the need for extensive talk therapy. This approach particularly resonated with Emmie after her own experience with psychologists, where repeatedly telling her story felt unproductive. She knew there had to be a more effective, less intrusive way to help others heal.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, Emmie’s method allows clients to experience profound relief without the need for constant verbalizing of their issues. She uses a metaphor with her clients, describing them as “full onions,” with each session designed to peel away layers of trauma. Emmie believes in giving clients control over their healing journey, recommending at least three sessions but leaving the decision to continue entirely up to the individual. Her sessions, which last approximately 3-3.5 hours, are intense, yet incredibly effective, and many clients report feeling significantly better after just one session.

Over the past two years, Emmie has successfully helped numerous individuals release trauma and improve their overall well-being. Some clients achieve noticeable results in just one session, while others prefer to continue for several sessions, depending on their personal needs.

Through her practice, Emmie has come to believe that many chronic illnesses are linked to unresolved trauma and stress. By addressing these root causes, clients can experience significant improvements in their physical and emotional health. Emmie’s belief in treating the source of illness rather than masking symptoms with medication has become the cornerstone of her work.

Her methods are based on ancient techniques, acknowledging that trauma release is a natural process. Emmie often points to the behavior of animals, who instinctively shake off trauma after a stressful experience. Humans, on the other hand, tend to freeze or suppress their emotions, leading to long-term issues. Emmie’s work aims to help people reconnect with their bodies and process trauma in a way that allows for lasting healing.

In addition to her physical sessions held in Groningen, Emmie has developed online programs that make her expertise accessible to a broader audience. She currently offers a self-love program and breathing exercises, with more courses in development, including one focused on managing stress. Her online programs can be purchased by anyone with a computer, giving people the opportunity to benefit from her teachings even if they are not able to attend in-person sessions.

Emmie’s self-love program offers a more in-depth coaching experience and is designed to help individuals build a strong foundation of emotional well-being. The breathing exercise program, available for just €11, provides simple techniques that anyone can practice to enhance their health and emotional balance.

Looking to the future, Emmie envisions expanding her practice to an international level. She plans to move to Spain and host week-long retreats where clients can fully immerse themselves in healing. These retreats will offer a space for people to focus entirely on their emotional and physical well-being, guided by Emmie’s expertise.

Although Emmie currently limits herself to working with 2-3 clients per week due to the energy-intensive nature of trauma therapy, she hopes to one day see a client each day. Her goal is to continue helping individuals overcome their traumas and live healthier, happier lives, one session at a time.

Throughout her entrepreneurial journey, Emmie is most proud of the impact she has made on her clients’ lives. She strongly believes that our bodies hold the answers to many of our problems, and through her work, she has helped people discover that they can heal without relying solely on medication or traditional therapy.

As Emmie continues to grow her practice, she remains committed to providing personalized, compassionate care to each of her clients. Her mission is to offer an alternative to conventional treatments and empower individuals to listen to their bodies and take charge of their own healing process.
