Renata Boston is the founder of two impactful initiatives: Stichting Re-Boost and Re OpoMi, both focused on guiding and empowering young adults through tailored coaching and development programs. With over 10 years of experience, Renata has helped hundreds of young people navigate life’s challenges, find their purpose, and grow into confident, self-reliant individuals.
Stichting Re-Boost provides an intensive, personalized coaching program for youth and young adults aged 17 to 35. Over a two-year period, participants receive one-on-one coaching, starting with weekly sessions in the first year, followed by six months of aftercare and buddy support. The program is designed to guide young people through various life challenges, helping them gain confidence, resilience, and control over their lives.
Many young people struggle with insecurity, fear, and questions about their identity and future. Re-Boost offers a safe space where they are listened to, guided, and supported in exploring their competencies, ambitions, and personal growth. If a participant needs help beyond the scope of Re-Boost’s expertise, Renata and her team ensure they are connected with the right resources and continue to monitor their progress.
The program isn’t just about coaching. It also includes group activities, events, and workshops on topics like creative arts, healthy living, and even earning money through passion projects. These opportunities allow young people to engage in meaningful experiences while building their skills and confidence.
Renata’s work with Re-Boost is deeply personal, rooted in her own experiences growing up. Inspired by her childhood interactions with Aunt Muriel, a mentor who guided young people through life’s hurdles, Renata has dedicated her career to helping the “invisible group”—youth who don’t outwardly show signs of distress but are struggling internally.
Since its founding, Re-Boost has successfully coached 382 young adults and welcomed over 600 participants in workshops and events. Renata’s work has positively impacted many lives, including that of a young man who arrived at Re-Boost with significant debt and no job. Today, he is married, employed, and a homeowner. Stories like this are testaments to the power of Renata’s work.
In addition, Re-Boost has established a youth council, which gives participants the chance to take ownership of their growth and contribute to the program. Renata also founded the Aunt Muriel Award, named after her childhood mentor, to encourage young people to give back to their communities. The award recognizes youth who create impactful projects, such as the boys who initiated a project to prevent food waste and installed water pumps abroad.
Renata’s second venture, Re OpoMi, is focused on training the next generation of youth coaches. Meaning “learning to get up again,” Re OpoMi teaches individuals how to coach young people through a 6-12 month training program. The training involves shadowing Renata and gaining hands-on experience, allowing participants to develop the practical skills needed to guide youth effectively.
Renata’s vision for Re-Boost and Re OpoMi is one of expansion. Although currently based in Amsterdam South East, she sees the need for her programs extending across the Netherlands and beyond. Her immediate goal is to secure the financial resources to ensure the sustainability of Re-Boost, allowing the program to expand its reach to more young people in need. As Renata continues to grow her initiatives, she remains focused on making a lasting impact on the lives of the youth she serves, empowering them to take control of their futures.
