Rotterdam, September 2024, Fleur Fonteijn Dansschool Kralingen, 13 years ago I started as No Roots studio. It was more for artists for their performance ballet dance and other shows. At one point people wanted to take dance classes with us because the demand was just there and we picked this up after a year and changed the name to Dance School Kralingen. We still do performing work. We have monthly dance shows in Belgium, Holland and Germany.
Expanding Horizons
Offering classes for all ages from toddlers to adults. Dansschool Kralingen provides a range of dance education and therapy services. Their collaboration with the Youth Fund ensures that financial barriers don’t impede access to dance. The school has positively impacted around 800 individuals, supporting their dreams in the dance world.
Global Presence, Local Impact
Under the No Roots brand, the school’s ballet shows have gained international acclaim, with performances in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. Locally, they engage the community with monthly shows and events, including performances at Qmusic’s Foute Party and mini swan shows for children.
Resilience and Future Goals
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the school has thrived, thanks to its strong community focus. Looking ahead, Fleur Fonteijn Dansschool Kralingen aims to expand to Dubai and enhance their class offerings, including securing a dedicated venue.
