Empathetic, enthusiastic, engaged, and goal oriented: Sophie Wagemakers is not just a coach but a guide on the journey of leaders, teams, and individuals to discover their inner sparks. Her passion lies in connecting and igniting these sparks to thrive collectively. She strongly believes that this will have a positive, sustainable impact on individuals, teams, organizations, and society as a whole.
Sophie quickly creates a safe environment in which space emerges for vulnerability and self reflection. She challenges with courage over comfort, holds up a constructive mirror, and injects humor to guide the organization, team, and individual. The result? Insight into one’s own behavior, mindset, and patterns without heaviness, allowing leaders and teams to be coached further to reach their full potential.
My background and experience
With over 14 years of experience in change processes, leadership, and team development at Unilever, including roles such as HR Director at international and senior levels, Sophie brings a wealth of experience. Since 2019, she has been an independent coach, working from her vision outlined on the See Your Sparks website.
Sophie’s expertise is supported by an impressive array of qualifications, including a Master’s in Human Resource Studies, EMCC/EQA Senior Coach, and VU Postgraduate Executive Team Coaching. Certifications in Management Drives, Firo-B, Leadership Style & Climate, and MBTI reflect her dedication to continuous growth and development.
Her greatest ‘sparks’ are her children, Tom (7) and Bart (6), who serve as inspiration for authenticity, a Pippi Langkous (Pippi Longstocking) mentality, and embracing space and attention to become who they want to be.
